Grand Daughter - Silpa's view: "In remembrance of my beloved thatha - Sri yeturi Garuda Reddy garu( 1933-2020) born in Peddagottigallu and his brought up took place in Yellamnada.His parents are Rami reddy garu and lakshmama.
He lost his parents in his early childhood, then he faced lot of abstacles and struggles .
But he achieved everything and fulfilled his dreams with his hard work and discipline.
I can say he is another name of discipline."

Venkataramana Reddy Mekala spent one year (1986-87, to study my 10th class) with them, writing below points based on my knowledge. :)
"యేటూరి గరుడా రెడ్డి గారు పెద్దగొట్టిగల్లు వాస్తవ్వులైన యేటురి రామి రెడ్డి మరియు లక్ష్మమ్మ గార్ల ఏకైక సంతానము. చిన్నతనములోనే తల్లి, తండ్రిని కోల్పోయి వారి అమ్మ తరపు బంధువులైన - యెల్లమంద లోని, కోడి భయ్యా రెడ్డి కుటుంబమునందు పెరిగి, చదువుకోని జీవితములో స్తిరపడ్డారు.
గరుడా రెడ్డి గారు క్రమశిక్షణతో, నియమ నిభద్దతో, మంచి వ్యక్తిగా జీవితాన్ని గడిపిన ఓ (ప్రధానో) ఉపాధ్యాయుడు"
- My Beloved Grand Father - (Late) Yeturi Garuda Reddy Garu,
- Amazing person and can write so much about him, let me start.....some where with some memories...
- He overcome many hurdles in life but become a Role Model (Best Teacher, Best Father & so ...on) with his disciplined Life Style for entire life.
- As per his care takers, co-mates, relatives - Bayya Reddy, G.V Krishnamma, Narayanamma, Thambi Reddy, Yashodhamma etc., His uncle - Ram Mama (Mekala Rami Reddy Garu, PGL) sent him to his relative friends place - Kodi family, Yallamanda where his childhood spent under supervision of Janga Thambi Reddy garu.
- His parents passed-away in his childhood (<10 years age) , with properties taken care by his paternal uncles (Varempati family), he focussed on education at Yallamanda.
- He did his teacher training in Bangalore & got good command on English which helped to become English / Social teacher in his career. Retired as Head Master in ZPHigh School, Chinna Gotti Gallu.
- He preferred to marry, Indiramma garu as per his 'care taker' parents but maintained good relations with maternal family, where as not much known on paternal side relations. His elder son-in-law: MSReddy is from Maternal side & his native place :)
- Most of the relatives visit them frequently because of their 'Hospitality' :) , (As both lost their parents in early life, they prefer to maintain relationships very well !! mainly Indiramma's 6 siblings & their families)
- They also taken care of relatives kids: Thimma Reddy V (PGL), Vishwanatha Reddy (Palamanda), Giridhar Reddy (Kurabalakota) and Myself - Venkataramana Reddy Mekala (PGL), also his grand daughter - Shilpa Chaitanya.
- Current generation should learn a lot from him - discipline, un-biased teaching, value based life & so on..
- His preferences were: Red Dal (weekly twice), Natikodi curry, Masala Vada, Playing cards, and in later part of life - two pegs of scotch :)
- In his native, he prefer to chat with Raja Reddy Mekala as 'friend mama' and childhood mate - Dharmayya who maintained the bonding till their last breath !!
- Playing Card mates: Jayaraamayya, Obul Reddy Goturi, Siddayya & so on...
- House maid: Suseelamma from 1980's to till 2020's - ~50 years
- Few fun parts: Speaks nice English, post 60 ml :)

ధర్మయ్యకు అతిసన్నిహితంగామెలిగినవ్యక్తి ఏటూరి గరుడారెడ్డి(ఉపాధ్యాయులుగాపనిచేసేవారుపీలేరుమరియుభాకరాపేటలో). సంవత్సరంలోఒకటిరెండుసార్లుగరుడారెడ్డిగారినికలిసివచ్చేవారు.
ధర్మయ్యగ్రామంనుంచివెళుతున్నాడుఅంటే,ఒక్కగరుడారెడ్డిగారినికలవడానికిమాత్రమే,వారిమధ్యబంధందాదాపు70-75 సంవత్సరాలుకుమించిసాగింది. (చిన్నతనంలోకలిసిపెరిగారుఇద్దరు)
మన ఊరి ధర్మయ్య ఒక కష్టజీవి, విలువలతో కూడిన ఆదర్శమైన వ్యక్తి గా చెప్పుకోవచ్చు. గ్రామమే ఒక ప్రపంచమని, భూమిని నమ్ముకున్న ఒక అసాధారణమైన రైతు కూలి.
మన గ్రామంలో, ఏ అలవాటు లేని, అందరితో ఎంతో వినయంగా మాట్లాడగలిగే మంచి మనిషి ధర్మయ్య. అటువంటి వ్యక్తి ఈ ప్రపంచాన్ని వదిలి వెళ్లిపోయాడు అంటే చాలా బాధాకరమైన విషయం. ధర్మయ్య అమర్ రహే 💐💐
